There's a new mood of optimism sweeping through the ICT industry - and microsoft used this up successfully with their booth.
It was a place where visitors could attend various presentations about products and other brand new technical innovations.

For their presentation platform the "Microsoft Cinema" a slider menu bar constantly following the speaker via live motion tracking on stage was developed. This became possible as Ventuz is able to process data from motion tracking systems in realtime. The position of the lecturer is tracked by a motion capture program, taken into Ventuz via OSC and so the slidebar menue is constantly reacting in realtime to the lecturers change of position.

The interactive slide bar menu allowed the lecturer to control his presentation without a remote control by only clicking on the projected buttons.
To implement the button functions for the slider, light barriers were installed in different positions and assembled, so that they trigger standard joypad controls Ventuz can communicate with.

Also a short introduction for each presenter before starting his dissertation was delivered.
In addition we also set up several plasma installations for the agenda and two plasma stripes with mood graphics.
